How to use the sharing features
Sharing functionality is available in:
Folders serve as your central workspace for a specific website or client. Sharing a folder lets you give your team access to important data from multiple toolkits in one place, distribute responsibilities, and collaborate on campaigns.
Collaborate and share research with your teammates and clients. With a Semrush subscription, you can share your keyword lists with anyone with a Semrush account (paid or free). Make changes together as a team, in real time, directly in Semrush.

Writers can share documents via email with editors, proofreaders, or other colleagues to review their work without purchasing extra accounts or sharing login information. Content or marketing managers can easily oversee and manage their team’s output, regardless of whether their writers are in-house or outsourced. Agencies and clients can envision and create content together in one place.
Shorten and simplify the reporting process while getting input and data from various individuals involved. Share reports with your teammates, managers, partners, and even those who don't have a paid Semrush account. Full Sharing for Corporate Accounts
Corporate account Owners and Admins can enable full sharing directly within the User Management interface. This opt-in feature is designed to simplify team collaboration by automating access to essential data.
How it works: When full sharing is enabled, all assets are automatically shared with every team member.
How to activate full sharing:
- Go to User Management.
- Click the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner.
- Select “All team members.”
- Save settings.
Permissions
To share assets inside Semrush, in most cases, you need to have a paid Semrush subscription. A user who receives sharing should have at least a registered account in Semrush to receive assets with view permissions. A user should have a paid subscription or be a part of a corporate account to acquire assets with edit permissions.
Exceptional cases:
- Sharing in the Semrush Local toolkit (Listing Management, Map Rank Tracker, Review Management): A user can share assets if they have purchased Semrush Local toolkit.
- Sharing in My Reports: A user can share assets with edit permission to registered users without a Semrush Subscription.
Different permissions at each level of sharing:
- Viewer: can view assets and dashboards but can't make any changes or edits
- Editor: can make changes and contribute to the folder based on the subscription level and available limits
- Users: as part of a corporate account, each team member gets cost-efficient access to all Semrush tools
